Seedance 2.0 is charged by the length and resolution of the clip. These are the credits a clip costs in Motion Studio, calculated with the price list the model had on October 13, 2026. The app shows the exact cost before you confirm, and if the video doesn’t come out the credits are refunded.

Can you use Seedance 2.0 for free?

Partly. Every new account gets 30 credits once, no card needed, and they work for AI generation: enough for a 5-second clip at 480p. To keep generating you need a credit pack.

Tips for a Seedance 2.0 prompt that works

One shot per prompt. Describe one scene: subject, place, light, the movement and the camera. Several scenes in one prompt usually come out mixed.
Say how the camera moves. “Slow push in”, “handheld following her”, “static wide shot”. It changes the result more than adjectives.
Use references for the artist. In reference mode, photos of the artist from several angles help keep the same face and clothes across shots.
Generate at 480p first. When you like the movement, generate the final version at 1080p or 4K.
No names of artists, songs or brands. The model rejects them; describe the style instead. A rejected request isn’t charged.

Seedance 2.0 or Seedance 2.5?

Seedance 2.0 goes up to 15 seconds and to 4K. Seedance 2.5 goes up to 30 seconds (up to 1080p), takes more references and can also edit and extend a take you already have. For a long shot, 2.5; for a short shot in 4K, 2.0.
