Three kinds of cover

A photo

Soul for images that look photographed: a portrait, a place, an object on a table.

A cover with text

Ideogram 4.0 when the title or the artist’s name has to be part of the image.

A design

Recraft V4.1 for graphic, illustrated or minimal covers.

How to do it

From prompt to release

  1. Describe the cover

The main subject, the mood, the colors and the style of photo or design. Choose 1:1.

  2. Generate options

Try a few prompts and models; every image goes to your gallery.

  3. Animate it

Turn the cover into a short video for the posts and the Canvas with image to video.

Before you upload it to your distributor

  • Size: covers are square, and many distributors ask for at least 3000 × 3000 pixels. Check your distributor’s requirements and the size of the file before uploading.
  • Text: stores usually reject covers with web addresses, social handles, prices or other artists’ names. Keep the text to the title and the artist.
  • Rights: don’t ask for well-known characters, logos, brands or other artists’ faces. The models reject those prompts too.
  • Small screens: look at the cover at thumbnail size, the way it appears in a playlist. If you can’t read it there, simplify it.

A cover that moves

A still cover is a single post. Animated, it’s the announcement, the countdown and the release day. Animate it with Seedance or Kling in image to video, and use TONTRIA Clips release assets for the “coming soon”, “out now” and Spotify Canvas pieces.
