Kling Motion Control

Kling Motion Control: the photo does the moves

Upload a photo of the artist and a video with the movement — a dance, a choreography, a walk, a gesture. Kling Motion Control makes the person in the photo move exactly like the video.

The reference video must last 3 to 30 seconds. The cost appears before you generate.

Kling Motion Control: the photo does the moves
How it works

Motion control in three steps

  1. The photo

A clear photo of the artist, full body if the movement uses the whole body.

  2. The movement

A video of 3 to 30 seconds with the dance or gesture: a dancer, a rehearsal, a trend you recorded yourself.

  3. Generate and edit

Choose whether the body faces like the video or like the photo, generate, and drop the result into the music video.

What artists use it for

  • The choreography for the chorus, done by the artist, without days of rehearsal for a short.
  • A dance trend with the artist’s own image, for Reels, TikTok and Shorts.
  • Album art that moves: the character on the cover does a gesture.
  • The same movement in different places: one reference, several photos.

Kling 3.0 or 2.6 Motion Control?

Motion Studio has four: Kling 3.0 Motion Control in Pro and Standard, and Kling 2.6 Motion Control in Pro and Standard. Pro gives the best result and costs more; Standard is the cheaper way to test. All four take a photo and a video of 3 to 30 seconds and let you keep the original sound of the video.

For best results

  • The reference and the photo should have a similar framing: full body with full body, half body with half body.
  • Choose a reference with one person and a clean background.
  • Use only videos and photos you have the rights to — and the artist’s OK.

Another way to transfer movement is Genjutsu, which uses up to 8 images of the person over a take of 4 to 30 seconds. See all options in AI video models compared.
